Win Tickets to the World Cup Final With Dixons

Purchase necessary competitions are becoming increasingly popular and we now have a number listed in our type of competition directory. One of the current most expensive qualifiers is for Dixons’ World Cup competition, but with a trip to the World Cup Final in South Africa on July 11th on offer it might be worth a look?

What we should say is that it might be worth a look if you’re thinking of buying a brand new TV as the qualifier is a “television sized 32 inches (or larger) between 30th April 2010 and 25th May 2010”. You can’t enter if you’re in Northern Ireland plus there’s no no purchase necessary option as that’s no longer required.

Not good news for most compers who prefer the free to enter type of competitions and most certainly not good news for residents of Northern Ireland. Mind they do get no purchase necessary options on a lot of purchase required prize draws when everyone else has to pay, so don’t feel too sorry for them!

We’re quite keen on the prize, but don’t want to go forking out on an expensive new TV. Mainly because we’re hoping to win the Samsung 3D TV that’s on offer over at Currys.

So what’s the cheapest way to enter this competition?

The best value TV, or the cheapest, on offer is an Evotel ELCD32USB HD Ready TV and it costs £279. There’s also a Sharp Aquos LC32DH500E for just under £285 and there’s a Samsung LE32B450C for £299. You do get free delivery on all orders too. Note prices were correct at time of writing.

Even so, it is an expensive entry to a competition but with the chance to go to the World Cup Final on offer it may be tempting for some people, especially if a new TV is on the agenda in time for the tournament to start. It’s worth noting that prize is for the actual final game itself, plus flights and 4 nights in South Africa. Many of the World Cup competitions listed on Loquax tend to be for qualifying matches.

Of course many of those are free entry!

Purchase necessary competitions are becoming more popular, especially online, and our advice is quite simple. If you’re tempted by the prize and can afford the qualifier (e.g. you were going to buy it anyway) then take a look.
