If you enjoyed Orange’s Virtual Balloon Hunt, which traversed you across the internet from site to site, then you might like to give Sony’s new competition a try as well. Bounc3D is the name of their Virtual Tennis Ball Hunt Competition and it’s giving you the chance to win top prizes. First prize for example is tickets to the Wimbledon Finals, a Full HD 3D BRAVIA® TV, a PlayStation 3 and the PS Move with Virtual Tennis game.
There are four other main prizes – all offering tickets to the Wimbledon Tennis Finals, but each has various Sony gadgets such as a NEX Camera, Sony Vaio Laptop or 3D Camcorder.
To make the game more interesting (and keep you playing), there will also be spot prizes. Every working day during the two weeks of the game you’ll have the chance to win NEX-5 digital cameras and 3D Bloggie compact video cameras.
To take part in the competition all you have to do is register and go in search of the virtual tennis balls. There are balls hidden on Facebook and across a number of websites. You can also earn balls by referring friends to the site.
Thankfully, the winner isn’t determined by whoever gets the most balls, although there is a leaderboard so you can compare your progress with people who have been playing far too long. You get one entry into the draw for each tennis ball registered as having been caught across all participating websites. The game runs from from 10.00am on 15 June 2011 until 12.00pm on 27th June 2011.
A big thanks to Raymond53 who told us about the competition.
