Although the Loquax Team have headed to the back benches with regards competitions we do still keep an eye on things. We’re currently seeing a lot of people getting frustrated with comping and especially not winning anything. In our view too many waste a lot time doing the same old daily routine or liking/sharing/tweeting to help promote the same brands – our advice is maybe give something new a try!
A quick jig around the room and a video upload to Youtube may not get you a win, but it’ll be a lot more fun than tweeting. Why do we say this? Well, O’Neills Pubs have been in touch with us as they have a fabulous new competition in honour of St Patrick’s Day. The pub chain want to smash the Guinness World Record for the most people Irish dancing. The record attempt starts at 8pm prompt on the 14th February so why not get practicing so that you can involved? By the way the current record stands at 10,036!
To help you get into shape O’Neills have produced a little tutorial!
If you submit a video response to the above showing off your own jig the you’ll also have the chance to win a bottle of Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey! There are twelve prizes on offer and O’Neills will select the best ones. Entrants must be over 18 and we suggest that you get your entries in well before the 14th March to be included in the competition.
As this competition involves effort for a not so grand prizes plus filming and dancing we expect that there won’t be too many entries. A nice slick and fun performance, perhaps in fancy dress, should stand out and give you a good chance of a win. If you’ve got a couple of friends who won’t mind helping out then rope them in to – perhaps think about a Gangnam Style or Harlem Shake version?
