Having recently watched Gravity on Sky Movies the chance of heading into space doesn’t quite have the same appeal. However if you’re an intrepid kind of comper then that latest prize on offer from Land Rover may well be right up your street. To celebrate the launch of the new Land Rover Discovery Sport 4×4 you have the chance to go into space thanks to Sir Richard’s Virgin Galactic space project.
The video above gives an introduction to the competition but all the details can be found at Land Rover Goto Space! To enter you are going to need to be creative. You will need to submit a short film or photographic entry in response to the question “What does the spirit of adventure mean to you?”.
Oh yes, you also need three friends to create your team that’s ready and willing to go into space!! To inspire you Land Rover have called upon Sir Ranulph Fiennes, Bear Grylls, Virginia McKenna and Sir Richard Branson to put together some clips with their answers. The best entries will also be added to this collection. The judges for the competition have also got some tips which are well worth reading.
It’s hard to offer anything extra with regards entering the competition other than plan it out if you’re interested. We suspect that the winning entry will be one that has had a lot of thought put into it and that comes with a clever, detailed and well put together video. You have two months to put something together so use the time constructively and don’t rush in.
The prize is a trip to space on a Virgin Galactic commercial flight, courtesy of Land Rover. However details are limited as when we tried to access the terms and conditions it returned a 404 error page. What we can tell you though is that you have until the end of October 2014 to put in your entry.
So, is this a prize that you fancy? Will you be giving it a go? Do let us know!!
