Football might be in a state of limbo due to the current pandemic crisis, but it’s not stopping Cadbury kicking off their latest football promotion. Win The Captain launches on the 1st May and it gives you the chance to win a day with one of football’s finest captains. According to reports the captains include Liverpool’s Virgil Van Dijk and Tottenham’s Harry Kane. Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard is also mentioned. He has captained Chelsea and his national team, Belgium.
How To Enter
To enter the competition you’re going to need to purchase selected Cadbury and Maynards Bassetts products. Keep an eye out for them when you make your necessary trips to the supermarket. Promotional products include Cadbury Brunch Bars, Dairy Milk Giant Buttons, Fizzy Fish, Wispa and Twirl. Details of the competition are still limited although as well as the main prizes you can also win “fantastic squad based experiences” plus other prizes such as stadium tours, e-sports, and bubble football games. However we do know that the competition will run from May 1st until July and we’d expect entries will be permitted daily. We’d also expect that Cadbury will host a final prize draw for those people who miss the main promotion. We will add more details to this blog post as soon as the competition page at captain.cadburyfc.com is fully launched.
Premier League Tickets
Cadbury are no strangers to the world of football promotions. All the details can be found at Cadbury FC. In fact their Match & Win promotion’s Final Draw is coming to a close on 30th April 2020. If you have old barcode/batch code branded products then make sure you get your entries in soon for the chance to win £500. Cadbury FC Fan Club offers supporters the chance to win Premier League tickets during the 2019/20 season. This competition remains open although it’s unclear at this stage whether tickets will be valid or if prize draws are continuing. We suspect if the Premier League season is to conclude with matches then these will take place behind closed doors. However it is good to see on-pack promotions are still launching even during the current crisis. Promotions such as McDonald’s Monopoly naturally had to be delayed whilst Weetabix who were running a Weetabix On The Go competition have made their 2020 Isle Of Wight Festival tickets valid for 2021, providing it goes ahead. It’ll be interesting to see how on-pack promotions adjust in respect to how life changes in the coming months. We suspect that we will see more voucher and tangible prizes instead of tickets, holidays etc.
