Michael Chatha successfully oversaw the sale of Shrubbery Farm in Win A Country Home but can he do it again with the same formula? On offer in the second competition is "a million pound Tudor Hall in the heart of the English countryside", Coles Hall. Details of the property are a little limited but it does have some serious history and five acres of land. It's also located one hour from London and free electricity is provided by free 4 kw of solar panels!

How To Enter The Competition

Entries to the competition costs £2 each. To enter you neeed to answer a multiple choice question. Don't worry if you get this incorrect because you won't be able to purchase a ticket until you get the right answer. Once you've answered correctly then you simply enter your details and complete the purchase. A no purchase entry option is available if you wish to enter for free (barring the cost of envelope and stamp). Details are in the terms and conditions.

Additional free entries can be accrued by referring friends to the competition. Purchase a ticket and then share your link. A £5000 prize is offered for the most referrals. The closing date for entries is 20th July 2020 but Win A Country Home will be hoping to sell out of tickets quickly. For this competition they aim to sell a minimum of 590,000 sold tickets (£1.18million) by the closing date. The maximum sold tickets available is 990,000 (£1.98million).

Can They Do It Again?

Note that the promoter does reserve the right to extend the closing date by up to three months if they feel it necessary. If not enough tickets are sold to award the property then a cash prize of 80% of ticket receipts will be awarded instead. As is standard with these kind of competitions charitable organisations get some benefit. The promoters aim to make donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities UK and are guaranteeing at least £10,000. However this could rise to £150,000 depending on the success of the promotion.

Win A Country Home for Shrubbery Farm ran for just two months. Coles Hall launched at the end of March but hasn't quite picked up the same level of momentum - yet! The £2 a ticket win a house competitions have done well recently but this isn't a guarantee of success. If Win A Country Home do manage to giveaway Coles Hall as a prize then they may well have cracked the formula for running house raffles.

Cash Prize Winner

This competition closed on 25th August after a 4 week extension. However according to the website they "didn't sell enough tickets for Coles Hall to draw for the house". Interestingly the promoter has suggested that they felt that "many people felt Coles Hall was too much of a property for them to look after". On a positive note a cash prize is going to be awarded. This will be for 80% of the net proceeds (as per the rules) "which should be a significant amount of money". £10,000 has also been donated to charity. Enter Competition Here
