Omaze offer entrants the chance to win once-in-a-lifetime experiences and dream prizes whilst supporting charity. They're now running a home competition to support Teenage Cancer Trust. The Million Pound House Draw runs until November 2020 and there are a lot of prizes on offer. By entering early you'll be in the property prize draw plus £1000 weekly cash draws and early bird draws where a tech hamper, Mini and Tesla car are the prizes.

How To Enter The Competition

The main prize on offer though is a four bedroomed, four bathroom property in Cheadle Hulme, Cheshire. It's valued at over £1million and comes with a self contained home-office plus hot-tub. Take a look at the pictures of the home on the Omaze website as it looks pretty incredible. However note that if you win then you don't get the home furnishings, artwork, and merchandise shown in the images. Stamp duty and conveyancing costs will be covered plus £10,000 for first year running costs.

Tickets for the competition cost £10 for 15 entries. Unfortunately you can't purchase less than £10 worth of tickets. Other ticket packages cost £50 (85 entries), £150 (320 entries) and £300 (£1000 entries). For a free entry you can send a postcard or envelope to the address given on the website. This is worth doing as "once a postal entry has been processed it will be entered in to the next available draw and all subsequent draws until the final Grand Prize drawing".

Guaranteed Prizes

Another reason why it's worth entering this Omaze competition is that surprisingly the prize is guaranteed even if not enough tickets are sold. This means there will be a home winner and no competition extensions. The Teenage Cancer Trust will also benefit from a minimum donation of £70,000 even if insufficient tickets are sold. However Omaze are hoping that this competition will result in a donation of £400,000. Note that the competition is open to UK residents only.

Omaze are a huge charity fund raising platform and it's interesting to see them enter the win a house sector here in The UK. The property looks great but the ticket price is high and that may limit it's attraction. It does seem that £2 ticket competitions fair a lot better and we expect that the no purchase necessary option will prove too popular. With that in mind we do wonder whether they will sell sufficient tickets to cover their costs. Guaranteeing the prize - plus the various weekly and early bird prize draws - does make it worth a look.
