The hosts running this promotion aren't new to this genre as they've previously given away a five bedroom home with a Ferrari. Back in 2020 The Matthews raffled a five bedroom Bolton home with Ferrari on the Raffall platform. The promotion was successful in creating a property winner. The Matthews ran the draw because poor health meant that they wanted to downsize. Surprisingly they're now back for another shot at property giveaways although this time round the prize isn't as glamourous. On offer is a newly renovated three bedroom home in Skelmersdale. Located 17 miles to Liverpool, 29 miles to Manchester, the hosts say that the house is an "ideal family home, or air B&B (proven success) or rental property". Details of the location and value of the property however are non-existent. Therefore we've simply estimated a property value based on the ticket target and given a generic location.

About The Property

Information about the property is also pretty scarce. What we do know is that it has three bedrooms, new kitchen, new bathroom and new carpets/flooring throughout. There are a few photos on Raffall but you'll probably best to drop in on Facebook for more images. Of all the images that have been uploaded there doesn't seem to be one of the front of the house or any indication of what's at the back. We're guessing that this may be to prevent people getting the location but at the same time it's nice to know what you might actually be winning! On the plus side we do know that stamp duty and legal fees will be paid by the hosts.

How To Enter The Competition

To enter the raffle you need to be registered with Raffall. This can be done via Facebook or email login. Once at the house raffle page it's a case of answering a question and purchasing tickets. The question pops up in a window - for this particular competition you'll need to answer a multiple choice question about BMX bikes. It's pretty easy! Tickets cost £1 each and there's no limit to the number you can purchase. You can purchase online using debit cards. Enter early enough and you might be able to pick up a discount. From what we can see there's no evidence of charity support with respect to this particular draw.

145,000 Ticket Sales

The promoter hopes to sell 145,000 tickets (total revenue £145,000 if all tickets sold at full price) by the start of May in order to conclude the draw. If insufficient tickets are sold then the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales. However we also do have the usual confusion where the hosts have suggested that if "less than 145,000 tickets are sold, the winner will receive a cash payment amounting to 50% of the total ticket revenue generated for this competition". All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited. This is a little bit different to house competitions run by individuals and should offer more assurance to entrants.

Our Verdict

Will it be another successful property prize draw for The Matthews? It's obviously not a 5 bedroom luxury property with Ferrari this time round and the market has changed considerably since 2020/21. The £1 ticket price could bring in a lot of interest though and the hosts have suggested on their social media that they've already hit 4000 tickets (it's unclear if that includes free tickets though). We hope that the prize draw is successful for a couple of reasons. Firstly it might encourage more owners to try the route again and it might spark Raffall back into life. However Raffall need to up their game in promoting these kind of draws and the hosts need to be encouraged to put together the required information. Enter Competition Here
